Family History Expo to Be Held in Colorado in June
Dear Family History Consultants, Family History Center and Extraction Directors, and Priesthood Leaders,You may be interested in attending the upcoming Colorado Family History Expo sponsored by Family History Expos (a private company). The Colorado expo will be held June 1–2, 2012, at the Crowne Plaza Colorado Springs, 2886 South Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
We are sending this letter now so that you have time to take advantage of the early bird special: only $49 if you register by May 2, 2012.
The opening keynote speaker will be Don R. Anderson, a senior vice president for FamilySearch. He has responsibility for the Patron Services Division, including the FamilySearch Family History Library and the Worldwide Support organization. Don provides help to those searching for ancestors using FamilySearch, the Family History Library, family history centers, the FamilySearch website, and other resources.
Holly T. Hansen, president of Family History Expos, Inc., will give the closing keynote address. Holly has helped thousands of people understand the techniques and technology they can use to trace their roots in today's ever-changing technological environment.
Over 50 classes will be presented, ranging from beginner to advanced topics. You can review the class schedule at www.fhexpos.com/expos/. Staff from the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, will also be present.
There is no cost for attending the keynote address or visiting the exhibit hall. There will also be a special track of free classes for family history consultants. You can visit the website to find out more about these free classes and to see the cost of attending all of the classes offered.
The Colorado Family History Expo could also be a great opportunity for the ward members you are working with to learn more about finding their ancestors. You may want to share information about the expo with them.
